This custom search works much better than the built in one and allows searching older posts.

I saw him in concert about a year ago, after several years of missed connections. I have tuned for shows with both of his daughters.

His appearance at Monterey Pop in 1967, as documented in the film, totally blew my mind (as we used to say). And that led to listening to more Indian music, and getting my mind blown even more thoroughly. Incredible stuff.
Tagging on with yet another notable musician's death (lots of them recently). Instead of starting another thread, I'll just say it here - Jonathon Harvey died. Anybody here but me know who he was? To me, over the last decade or so, if you asked who was the greatest Brit composer, I probably would have named him.
But he was weirdly non-aggressive about promoting himself (which could be connected to his Buddhist leanings). I don't know much about any piano works, but there are some, I think.
