Hello!

So I've posted about the Guild before, but have another question.
I'm really nervous about getting everything right since it is my first year so I'm sorry if my questions are silly!

In the back of the Guild Syllabus for this year, starting on pg. 57 it states "The Irl Allison library Listing" there are 3 columns. The 3rd column says "Current Classifiction".

My question is does it mean that if a song published in a Preparatory A book, now says IB under Current Classification it can no longer be used for PA?

This is important to me especially since I'm not necessarily planning to have students take all their songs from these books, but I'm using these books as a guide to compare against when figuring out where best a song from another book should fit as far as classification.

As always thank you in advance for any help with this! smile

I tend to go with the "currently classified as" rather than the original classification. These selections have been refined over time.

Thanks so much John. That makes sense.
