Does anyone know of piano players who regularly make good video piano lessons? Whether it's a YouTube account, or a website, or anything like that...

And, do any of you guys make video piano lessons?

Hey Making Music,
There are lots of great piano videos on youtube! I could spend hours on there everyday.

I like watching 7note mode and Lot2learn. You can also check out our fellow forum guy Dave Frank and if I may humbly mention my own video lessons as well. smile

Here's my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/freejazzlessons

Here's my most recent lesson...

I made the lesson above to explain all the reharmonizations I did in this performance below...

I hope you enjoy.

Hey There,

I've just launched a web platform that's designed for online piano lessons. It's 30 or 60 minute lessons via webcam and takes advantage of re-purposing YouTube performances and tutorials, pdf sheetmusic and a video response feedback system. I'm piloting a program right now that's designed for busy adults. $29/month and they get asynchronous lessons along with custom video response feedback from their teacher. So basically it's self-directed learning with customized video response, feedback and practice support. So far it's going really well! It's at Web Academy of Music.

Cheers

Very cool! Part of the reason I'm asking is that we're launching our new site in January, and looking to incorporate more instructional piano videos, and link up with online piano teachers. We've got a solid following - this could be a great way to expand your audience. Any interest, anyone? You can reply to this, or feel free to e-mail me at DRoberts@bentley-hall.com
