Dear all

I own a Clavinova 307 for round 4 years. I'm facing problem with the performance of the keyboard (mechanical knocking sounds & Touch Sensitivity problems)

Is there a guide or any technical info I can use to open the instrument, remove/replace keyboard elements etc?

Obviously I have the engineering skills for this type of job

I would appreciate any help

Best regards

Yacov

You can get the service manual from Yamaha. It shows the disassembly procedure in great detail. It also gives a complete list of replacement parts.

It includes diagrams showing how to remove and replace individual keys, but I had a hard time visualizing that. So instead, look at the thread on this board that discusses this work. It's at P90 being disassembled. (That's not a CVP307, but the keys on all Yamahas seems to be the same.)

Unfortunately the pictures are no longer in that thread, but I saved them. I can email them to you if you wish.

Better yet, there are some You Tube videos that show the process. Have a search.

Thank you for the information.

1. I looked into Yamaha's site and there are many manuals but none related to service... Seems like a good manual to start from, Nay idea how I can get this manual?

2. Looked at the thread you recommended (P90 being disassembled) and there was no info of how to open and fix those problems.
Don't know if pictures will help but maybe I can find similarities.. Please go ahead and send me those photos to ysopher@gmail.com . Many thanks for that.

3. Looked at You Tube and the best I could find is the CVP 201 disassembly. But unfortunately they are quite different (on the 307 all the controls are on the hinged cover).

I think the best is your first suggestion if this manual could be traced.

Many thanks for your help

Yamaha has all the manuals, but they're not free. You can buy a manual HERE.

I emailed you the pictures.

Thank you for your help and the pictures

I will check with my local dealer what is available and most probably purchase the Service Manual
