I've been unable to compare the two side by side, but if memory serves, the actions are very similar. Can anyone verify if the Casio CDP-120 has an identical key action to the PX-130 and PX-330?

My understanding is that the action is the same except that it lacks the PX-130/330's third sensor.

Thanks Scott. Would that third sensor have any significance when I'm using the CDP as a controller for playing software?

The velocity response seems pretty smooth to me with the Vintage D.

It could, same as with the internal engine. It adds the ability to re-trigger a note without having to lift the key high enough to stop the previous strike from sounding (just as you can on a real piano). This is significant to some players, and not so much to others. There are some high quality, high priced models that lack this feature, too. So how important it is is very much a judgment call.

I'm one of those players who can live without that, at least for now. I do miss half-damping and standard midi. But we cope.
