Tim Adrianson 500 Post Club Member Registered: 08/07/10 Posts: 742	I especially liked this performance, Champy, because it has such a sense of style. I consider the Op 51 "Skazki" set to be Medtner at his most Russian and his very best. As well as you understand this piece, I would strongly encourage you to learn the entire OP 51 -- there is such a wealth of touching good humor and, well, Russianisms to be had. After hearing this set, Rachmaninov was said to have simply remarked: "What stories (skazki) Kolya tells!"
