OP dmd 5000 Post Club Member D Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 5,894 Pennsylvania	I am using a Scarlett 2i2 for my audio output device to channel my software generated piano sounds to my mixer. I am wondering I could also connect an output from my mixer back into that same audio device so audacity (on my computer) could be used to record that sound. Audacity does recognize the device as a source when I bring it up. Don Kawai MP7SE, On Stage KS7350 keyboard stand, KRK Classic 5 powered monitors, SennHeiser HD 559 Headphones

gvfarns 3000 Post Club Member G Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 3,552 US	I'm not sure. I would have guessed so. If audacity doesn't recognise it as an input, that's the first thing to look into. Once you get that figured out, it seems likely that you will be able to record and play at the same time. I think the 2i2 comes with some software for recording, doesn't it? Ableton or something?
