Hello Everyone...
This is my first post for Piano World. I have looked up topics and read them from time to time, but have now decided to become a participating member.
I have been playing for 22 months, and I am a member of Pianomagic. My desire at the time I joined was to learn to play by ear. At some point in time, I will tackle learning to read music (limited ability), and developing the skills necessary for sightreading. I believe both approaches have value.
My instrument is the Kawai MP6 (I've played it daily since March of 2010); and, yes I've read many of the post about the MP6. In my opinion, it's the best buy for the money on the market for a stage piano. I'm looking forward to participation here in the forums!
Play On!
H.K. cool

Welcome! You'll hear good things about the Kawai DPs too. I used to see more of them years ago, but recently they seem to not be around as much in the US.

Keyboards, and even acoustic pianos, are so much of a personal choice. They vary widely in so many areas. Everyone has their favorites and they're all different. Hard to get the same opinion out of 2 people. smile Bottom line, if it works for you, and you like it, that's all that matters.

Brian.. couldn't agree more. When I began looking two years ago, I really wanted the Yamaha S90es. Still find that those in mint condition are going for about $1,600! I've found that good players sound good on whatever they play! Thanks for the warm welcome!
