Hi
Does anyone know of these models? How's their sound compare with the U series? And what would be the average price for a 20 to 30 year old piano in good condition?
Can I play them for the next 10 years?
Thanks!

I can't say as if I've encountered the models you mentioned here in Michigan, I haven't. Are they gray market pianos?
Nobody from this end of the computer screen can give an accurate answer to your question without seeing the piano first hand. All anyone of us can do, is "guess" and that is exactly what it is, a guess should someone attempt to give you an answer.
It depends on WHO has been servicing the piano for one.
A fly by night tech who tunes it at whatever pitch the piano is at and so now it's 1/4 or 1/2 tone or more flat? They rarely if ever, do any kinds of action work, regulation and that sort of thing. They just tune, grab the money and run.
Another factor is if it's never had tunings, you cannot rely on the owners honesty for that. They try and pull the wool over technicians eyes all the time but all we have to do is look at the insides of the piano and listen. We know the answer to that question of if it was tuned or not after that.
As for the price, that's like asking how much a car is worth that has a certain amount of miles on it or is 8 years old. Who knows??? If the oil was never changed? So many variables. HIre a good piano technician to look at the pianos for you. That is going to be your only way of knowing if these pianos are worth the purchase.

Thanks. It's not grey market. It's in a store that is recommended by my teacher. I've never bought an acoustic piano before, that's why I'm asking. They seem to charge these two pianos $1,000 higher than the regular U3. I like the sound of these two compare to the U series.
