Greetings, I'm looking for the name/composer of the song that played at the end of the sitcom "All in the family". My searches only come up with the lead off song "Those were the days". Anyone have a clue to who wrote this?

I'm pretty sure that the pianist and composer Roger Kellaway both wrote and played the sign-off music for "All in the Family". Not sure whether he's still alive, but he's well enough known that you should easily be able to "Google" him.

I've never heard of Ojai. I'll have to look it up!

Hi David, It's "Remembering You" Thanks rag doll! I've been able to find some song books of that tune played by Roger Kellaway but I haven't found the sheet music to that particular tune. Still Looking!

Carroll O'Connor wrote the lyrics
If you Google "Remembering You" Kellaway sheet music, there are many results.

You made me curious so I went looking too. Couldn't find any sheet music per se but found a leadsheet at music notes here: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtdFPE.asp?ppn=MN0035445&Maybe this will give you a start at least; I may take it for a spin myself

To all, 1) Here is my recording at the Kawai CA95 with the default "Upright Piano" preset: [13 seconds of silence before playing starts] https://www.box.com/s/vcukbz876a4mrmvu1jp32) The piece is titled "Remembering You" - here's the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztdNDU5Zxac3) And, here's Carroll O'Conner singing the lyrics he wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnWbT66VQnoExtra note: Please note I had to add in the E-flat seventh runs in a few places (where only a tremolo is indicated) to make it a little more authentic. The score I play from (as noted below) is not the same exact note-for-note rendition that Roger Kellaway performs. There are two out-of-print books that "Remembering You" may be found in: 1) "100 World's Best Television Songs & Themes" 2) "Television Showstoppers" As for the 2nd book above: http://www.amazon.com/Television-Showsto...on+showstoppersAlso, look here: AbeBooks.comAs there aren't very many copies of these books left, you can also check to see if a public library has it as your local library can obtain this for you through "interlibrary loan" - usually at a small fee.
