Observations: -- I thought #8 was in very slightly bad taste. -- #6 made me laugh out loud. (RIP E.C.) -- Our O.P. Mr. Thracozaag modestly did not mention his own citation in this article! -J

-- I thought #8 was in very slightly bad taste.
-- #6 made me laugh out loud. (RIP E.C.) Funny -- I thought #6 was in quite bad taste, and really don't see at all what you mean about 8. Sure, it's a ribbing of Cage (totally unintentional play on words, BTW) but I don't see it being over any line. -- Our O.P. Mr. Thracozaag modestly did not mention his own citation in this article! Thanks -- I hadn't noticed that.

Sure, it's a ribbing of Cage (totally unintentional play on words, BTW) but I don't see it being over any line. Wouldn't be the first time we disagreed! If I had to analyze the difference, I'd say that #8 jokes about how little people care about a dead composer, and #6 jokes about how much someone cares about a dead composer. That's why one feels sad to me and the other is funny. -J

Still think Krystian Zimmerman's rant at his solo recital at the Walt Disney concert hall was most exhilarating thing I've seen in classical music (happened a few years ago).. Not many people liked it, but as a live witness ( I didn't mind)..

Are these for real? Or is this Jailyard satire? Nothing's real. I suppose #1 is sort of plausible but that seems made up too....I didn't think so...just checking.
