Would really appreciate if anyone could provide some feedback on the pricing of a Yahama G1 w/Disklavier. The unit was built in 1992 but is in very good shape. The dealer is selling it for $8,999.00
Is this price too high for a 20 yr yamaha? Is it worth buying a 20 yr old yamaha or should I buy a different brand but newer babygrand like a Pramberger?

Of course condition and musicality of the piano is everything...
But the price sounds a little high to me. I would expect something more in the $7K range from a dealer.

If you want the disk function - check that it works - and that it is compatible with whatever program you'll be using it with. At that age, would it be a floppy disk unit?

I have seen the one on ebay. The ebay one is a year newer, and the disk clavier is sleek. The disk clavier on this unit in gigantic. I would have made an offer on the ebay one if it was within my area. This store is in Dallas, TX. My mother-inlaw is a piano teacher and liked the sound from the old yahamas as compared to the newer ones. She played it and it sounded better than the newer pianos within that price range that we were looking at. Mainly, better than the New Prembergers, Weber and Young Chang pianos.
