would this work: Chopin, op.22/57/35 as 1st half, after the break op.25, my concern is between op.22 and 35, will the Berceuse have a chance there?

I think that the Berceuse could hold its own just about anywhere. I wouldn't have a problem with it between the Opp. 22 and 35.

Not for me, but then I couldn't sit through an all Chopin recital whatever order the pieces were in.

In any recital presentation, I seem to be unfailingly a big fan of contrast. In that context, the Berceuse serves IMO as an IDEAL candidate between 22 and 35. Would definitely elect for it!

sometimes a program is requested, one dutifully tries to oblige, in this case a full Chopinrecital, ok, what has one ready, what is one prepared to prepare, what is in one's own interest to add to the rep., and what makes a good program, all these questions pop up now and then, and as a slave to the industry of concertmanagers et al. one does what one can. I'm glad the berceuse doesn't seem to get annihilated between the other items, and , yes, the whole of op.25, last time was all of op.10, next time will be opp.10 +25 haha.

op.22 + 57 + 35 take (in my performance): 45 min, op.25 30 min, quite the normal length of a recital/concert.

No, i didn't mean the length, the length is fine. I thought that playing only etudes, might be a too little variation for some audiences. While I prefer to buy (and have bought) CD's with complete series only, in a recital i could see a mix of the shorter stuff (preludes, etudes, nocturnes, waltzes, mazurkas), or perhaps another polonaise or a scherzo.

It is quite common to perform a complete set of Chopin Etudes in recital, and there is great variety within the Etudes in either set.
