I'm certain it's a Chopin waltz--an early one perhaps? I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks!

Nice arrangement whatever it was. Sounds like Mozart to me.

do you mean the one at the end? that sounds like chopin to me as well... definitely his style, romantic classical era.

Not any of the Chopin Waltzes I don't think - I leafed through the ones I have, and although it sounds like chopin, nothing matched what is being played. Probably something intended to sound like Chopin.

Too bad they played it on a digital (that little jab was for peterws...all in good fun whistle )

Chopin wrote 19 waltzes and this is not one of them. In all likelihood, it was written by a film composer for the cartoon, along with the rest of the music in this clip.

"Too bad they played it on a digital"

I thought that violinist was excellent . . . I`ll try and find out more about Francis` music. It`s all classically based.

Then you're not looking hard enough... hint: the waltzes are listed in order in the video description.

If somebody else wrote that waltz, I want their name so I can become their groupie. smile

And that last link at 32:30? Unless I'm missing something, that's not it. Beautiful playing, though--I bookmarked it to listen to the rest of it later.

I never heard it before so my guess is it is an original. It does sound very Chopinesque.....do you like it because it would not be hard to transcribe. The playing sounded very hard to me. I wrote a song in c minor a bit similar sounding.

I think there should be more to it in the middle. The thought had crossed my mind to write it down.

All right, I've broadened my horizons a little bit and listened to several Tchaikovsky waltzes. I suppose it could be him.

And who is the 'Great and Wonderful One'? smile

@deb8851,

[Edited]

I just now obtained your score using a free version Finale "NotePad" instead of "Finale Reader" so no need to reply.

Nice work on the transcription!

peterws: Cool!

pv88: Thanks! I just found out today that not everybody can read my scores. Still working on that--I should have mentioned the transcription was on NotePad. I only have musical geekiness--hardly any technological geekiness at all. smile
