What issue?

If it's a question of which DP, go and play them, then pick the one you like best and meets your requirements and budget.

I agree. You narrowed down your search enough. Now you have to touch the instruments yourself to be able to make a good decision.

When I played Kawai CA63/93 vs. Yamaha CLP 470 last year 2012, somehow I felt CLP 470 has a booming sound from its cabinet, too much bass to my taste. Kawai sound a little "sweater" overall to me.

Hearing them from headphones could be a different thing. I am just talking about the sound produced from the speakers.

I'm currently considering these same two pianos. I'm kinda parcel to the Yamaha CLP470 at this time, but I haven't actually seen and played a CA65 yet. I'm going to look at Kawai's this weekend.

I would definately recommend at least trying the CA-65. The wood keys on a CA-65 are entirely different from the wood keys on a CLP-470.

I personally didnt care for the feel of the CLP-470.

1) You have to determine whats best for you by playing it, feeling it, looking at it, ergonomics, placement of the switches, buttons, lnowbs and Lcd.

2) Technically. Kawai 65 is current everything. Yamaha is at least 2-3-4 year old everything.

My two cents worth. I have owned a CA63, CA93 and now a CA95. An absolute delight top play and it looks like a piano, not a digital piano.

I also had to choose between these two. I found CA65 better in all ways except the looks. Chose the CA65 and very happy with that after 3 months.

How did you dispose / swap these similar pianos so quickly? Did you trade in them?

I was considering these two pianos also. Last weekend I bit the bullet and brought home a Kawai CA65. I love it and can't get enough of it. It sounds great and is a real joy to own. It is packed with alot of nice features and is laid out very nicely. I would recommend it anyone. I though it had more features than the CLP 470 at a cheaper price. Good luck with your search and purchase.
