Saw a digital piano in the local ads today.

There was an unknown brand (for pianos) for sale, I see all sorts of strange brands like Daewoo pianos.

Today I saw an ad for a suzuki Spinet.....

I'm not going to buy it of course!

But you'd have thought they'd have chosen a nicer name?

I think there`s one on Ebay now. Tere`s not many DP`s after Xmas. Wonder why? (!)

There are tons of keyboards and DPs available on craigslist, but I've never heard of the Suzuki Spinet. And yes, I agree that's not a very flattering name, but then again, it's probably not a very flattering instrument so perhaps it's accurate if nothing else

I've never used or seen a Suzuki piano. But they got a poor sitting here a couple of years ago. Just do a search.

Am I missing something, what's the issue with the name?

Spinets were the Lada of pianos. Much like a Lada is still a car, there are.... many compromises in Ladas being cars.
