Saw a digital piano in the local ads today.

There was an unknown brand (for pianos) for sale, I see all sorts of strange brands like Daewoo pianos.

Today I saw an ad for a suzuki Spinet..... laugh

I'm not going to buy it of course!

But you'd have thought they'd have chosen a nicer name?

There are tons of keyboards and DPs available on craigslist, but I've never heard of the Suzuki Spinet. And yes, I agree that's not a very flattering name, but then again, it's probably not a very flattering instrument so perhaps it's accurate if nothing else smile

I've never used or seen a Suzuki piano. But they got a poor sitting here a couple of years ago. Just do a search.

Am I missing something, what's the issue with the name?

When did you grow up?

Do you remember Ladas and the jokes about these cars?

Spinets were the Lada of pianos. Much like a Lada is still a car, there are.... many compromises in Ladas being cars.
