Even after throwing out the high and low score, the only scores left are still all high! What a unique and wonderful person Apple is who went out of her way to bring happiness and friendship to everyone she touched.

It is quite amazing how you can feel connected to people you've never met in person, value and esteem them, appreciate them, and grieve for them.

So Sad. Apple's enthusiasm for her Estonia helped lead me to my wonderful piano. Thank you for all your contributions and wonderful attitude, Apple. We will miss you.

(I'll just add, since this was said so well, that somehow, somewhere, in a better, kinder world, sometime in the future, where we sincerely hope there will be pianos and music, that we will meet in person. In essence, Apple was one person on here I always felt that I knew and perhaps she knew me too.)

I live on the other side of the world and my approach to music is poles apart from hers, but she once took a great deal of trouble to help me in an exchange of messages about a technical issue - a remarkably generous and broadminded soul. I am very saddened.

I join others in appreciation of Apple, and also want to thank Lilylady for posting this thread.

So sad, but thankful that I was able to know her here. What a kind, funny and encouraging person.

Thanks for posting this wonderful video of Mary playing the Aria from the Goldberg. It's like a gentle kiss goodbye from one of the shining lights of this forum. You'll be missed, Apple.

So sad. A kindred spirit for the many years I spent on the old forums. One of those people I wish I had met, and swapped choir keyboard notes! I wish you peace, sweetheart, and may we finally jam at that great piano party in the great beyond. Love!

I count myself oh so lucky that I was able to meet her in person AND hear her play.

I so wish I'd had the chance to meet her in person.

But I am very thankful that in a small way I was able to provide a forum for her to reach so many people who were/are so glad to have known her.

What a testament to Apple to see so many old posters here among the newer who have been touched by Apple's touch.

I'm going to miss her very much and I'm clearly not alone. :-(

My word! I have been away for a couple of years from posting, though sometimes reading. I have always enjoyed Apple's posts, especially her accompanist stories. As so many others have said, she seemed like a friend, always caring and seeing humor in life. I feel blessed to have known her here in the forums.
