Dear Apple I just saw the pink ribbon on my front page. Although we've never crossed paths or many posts, I am sure the forum was all the richer for your contribution. I'm glad you've got so much loving support.
Peace and love to you, dear sweet Apple and to your family and friends. You have touched so many people, perhaps more than you will ever know. I will forever think of you whenever I hear the Aria from the Goldbergs.
Add my voice to the choir. Apple represented the best of what we have here in this community and will be greatly missed and celebrated.

I feel so fortunate that I had the opportunity to visit with you here in NY at that piano party. I really value all your contributions here and at WTF over the years (on many subjects, not just music). I don't have the right words, but please know that we all love you and hold you in our hearts.
I am so sorry to hear this. You'll probably remember that we met twice, once at the Chicago Estonia meeting, and once when you generously opened your house in KC for the PianoWorld group to hear Brendan play. I came across a quotation just yesterday:

You've been a light of reason, good information, and sound advice for us on the forums, and we all regard you with fondness and respect. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family in this part of your journey.

I wish we could keep you here forever Apple. Wait, we will keep you here among us forever. In the thousands of posts you shared with us, in the way you showed us how to enjoy life, in the way you showed us how to never give up, and how to love life.
Your legacy will out last all of us.
Know that you are much loved, and although you will be much missed, you will be remembered always.

Me banging out some tunes in the Estonia piano booth at the NAMM show...
I'll never forget Apple's delight at finally getting her Estonia piano, and the thought she put into naming it. The delight was so pure it was like a kid at Christmas. That memory will always stick with me because I have waited a long time to have my perfect piano like Apple had to. Her experience inspired me not to lose hope.
Aside from that, she is one of those rare people who doesn't get involved in narky disputes and just focussed on the joyful and positive aspects of the forum. A very admirable lady.
I have never met Apple in person. We came close so many times... but I am honored to call her a friend, along with countless others whose lives she has touched.
A few years back Dr. Laul and I had offered to get her a hotel and fly her into Philadelphia when he was playing a concert here. Although she considered coming, she did not feel up to it. Indrek and I took this picture right before he played:
