I was wondering if there have been any material changes from the late 90's Yamaha u1 up until now? I just recently acquired a late 90s u1 and it seems the cabinet is virtually the same (from what I see in the pictures on Yamaha's website.)my friend has a 92 u1 and it is designated a U1F.. mine is just u1 (not grey market).. the piano sounds better (imo) than my friends 92 u1..

just curious as it seems Yamaha hasn't made any significant changes to their uprights (aside from adding the YUS series)
