Hi everybody... I love it!

Oh, Rossy - love your rant on the Italian Titanic, and overused phrases. Here in the O household, our number one overused phrase is "It is what it is." As far as the Titanic, I've never seen the movie in full, only snippets when BillyO sees it on TV and changes to that channel, in hopes that it's at the end so he can watch Leonardo deCaprio drown. It makes him very happy.

Here's some Cure. Look how young they are!

Disintegration was a great album, Becca. I remember I loved to listen to Untitled on that album when I was depressed.

Oh.. my last one for now. We were watching Biography last night and it was about Mama Cass. I believe someone said she had no interest in recording this song:

AimeeO I feel pretty certain BillyO may enjoy this...

Or alternatively this one in which leonardo de crapio doesn't die.

All very good posts, folks. I particularly liked the rectangular vinyl from The Vapours! And that must be the first picture of Robert Smith I've seen where he doesn't look totally kooky. The Boys Don't Cry album has always been a favourite. And I used to listen to Disintegration more than is healthy (as well as Pornography).

I love those tunes where you can instantly recognise the song from the intro, usually guitar or bass or both. Like this one, Happy House from Siouxsie and the Banshees:

Of course, some songs have an intro that is better than anything else in the song! Here's It's Obvious from the Au Pairs. I just love it when the bass comes in. They were a bit like Gang of Four on bass, played by Jane Munro.

Here's another intro I've always loved: Atta Girl by Heavenly:

It's a full 1 minute and 8 seconds before the vocals come in.

I like that Heavenly tune! I've never heard them before.

I think my most unhealthy Cure addiction album was The Top.

Hi AimeeO, Heavenly (not to be confused with other, later, bands of that name) were an late 80s/early 90s UK pop outfit on Sarah Records. They were commonly lumped into the 'twee pop' genre (along with oh so many Japanese pop outfits), but that tune's intro is pretty non-twee. Heavenly disbanded when one of their members - who was their main songwriter - committed suicide.

Interesting factoid: Heavenly albums invariably included guest vocals of K Records founder Calvin Johnson, who released Heavenly's records in the USA.

I can't, never could, this is why I am often supervised by Mrs R especially whilst out in public places or just shopping really.
I had completely forgotten about the hot pants for over two hours as well. ( well not completely, but I havent drawn any pictures of them since dinnertime)

I believe Wayne is up to something very dramatic, I got an email off him that said "I am ok,but am up to something that I cant tell you about because it may get me into trouble" he went on to say "soon I will be very rich and will have a big party that everyone will be invited to and the drinks will be on me"

And then said "If i get away with it that is, and lady gaga doesnt sue me or try and get them back"

So, things are looking good for the party at Waynes.

Ah, Rossy, I was just doing one more round of wallpaper stripping in the office. It's one of those embossed papers that's been painted over n times - but is unstuck and missing elsewhere, hence need to remove.

Have you got a steamer Eglantine? that makes the job so much easier..
I just had a thought the other night as I was going to sleep, you know how you have sorted all your cds out onto shelfs, well my idea was this, If I bought you a new cd or someone else did, will that totally blow all the system of where everything is?

Looks like it. In some rural areas in the US they are common along any road but usually they aren't lined up so neatly unless they're in a park. Court may not be a bad thing, sometimes if a child needs serious mental help that will be the only way to force the parents to get it for them.

All this Cure, Police and whatnot is reminding me of the time I posted obscure 80s videos to my best friend's facebook page for about an hour straight. I thought I was being so clever and funny until I realized that as soon as she realized what I was doing she got me back. Next time I'll win for sure, I have a playlist waiting on youtube so I won't loose any precious time searching.

You must repeat the folleys of youth to stop you growing old. This is the conventional wisdom.
Growing old disgracefully also is a good option, in fact it is recomended, because you can get away with a lot more. lol.

I am off for tonight now to get on with some music writing... will be back in our morning!!!

later dudes and dudettes, keep up the good work there have been some wonderfull posts from everyone of late!!!

sleep well, be bad, and deny it to the grave if you get caught.
