My hunt for an acoustic piano is narrowing down. I've found two Kawai pianos and curious about the difference in the models.

CX-21D, 1987, $2500

KS-2F, 1984, $3000.

Both pianos are in similar condition, inside and out; two different dealers in my NY area.

What would account for the $500 difference? Any suggestions on one over the other? I believe I've read good things about KS-2F as predeccsor to current models, but not much abotu CX-21D (though I wouldnt shy away from it just because of lack of reading).

For 30-year-old pianos, condition is important: degree of wear, not just cleanliness inside. Any warranty provided by the dealer is important as well.
