My good friend John Buckman has written an article (part one) on recording keyboard instruments. John does this professionally, so the advice is from extensive experience. This article is aimed at harpsichordists, but many of the same issues are true for other types of keyboard instruments, and many of the points raised are equally applicable to any kind of recording, professional or domestic. Article (part one of the series) can be found in the British Harpsichord Society periodical Sounding Board, at: http://www.harpsichord.org.uk/soundingboard/combinedSB6.pdfpages 23-26 I'll post any further instalments when they come.
