Very nice. Have you considered keeping the top line in octaves at measure 9? (Of course, you might have to re-arrange the lh harmonies if you did so....)

I like it! smile I do find the transition between bars 8-9 quite abrupt though.

Nice little piece Firefinch ... but I question the name “Tear Drops” ...
Sounds more like “Musing” or “Day Dreaming”.

The block chords by the LH in measures 2 and 3 are a bit heavy-handed
and jumpy ... needs more Chopin-esque flow.

The abrupt 4/4, 3/4. 5/4, 4/4 time signatures could be refined.

My guess is that you are studying at one of the London musical Colleges.

Thanks for the comments.
I might change the title. It has nothing to do with tears.
But I had to call it something quickly to put on a CD.
Various lyricists tried putting words to the melody - none of them working, because they saw the title and thought it was about tears. It's not. Its a happy tune lol.

btb - i'm not at any Music college.
