Because when you love music, you can't let it go. Simple. Just that. And if you can play it funky and enjoy... better!
And Nord will sound amazing until you fall in love with other board. :P
And you're awesome, James.

11:30pm, waiting for the kettle to boil for my hot water bottle.
Now it's 12:45am! Where did the last hour or so go?! Now I've got funk chops in my head - I'll never be able to get off.
The story is so familiar

Playing at night is somehow magic. I tend to find that's really creative time. Problem is as keys are too noisy (even with headphones, just clipping-clapping noise), it's a problem if other people live with you.

I've spent many a tired day at work due to getting inspired to play and compose right before bedtime the evening before. Just sit at the keys, hit a few notes and it's like WHAM!, the muse strikes and the notes just keep coming. I love when that happens, makes me feel very alive.
I also agree about the (digital) pianos sounding best in the evening. I think when I'm getting tired my ears actually get more sensitive and everything sounds fuller and more resonant.

That's why I'm always so tired in the mornings. Playing in the dark with nothing but the LED display and these tiny red lights on? -- Would love to own a free standing house so I could do this with the Grand, but the Nord is an acceptable compromise.

Kettle was fine - it turns itself off after reaching boiling point. @thread: well, it appears that I'm not alone! James x

And why does Nord always sound so awesome just before going to bed?
Nord has special night mode which is triggered automatically at 11:00pm. Night mode changes all sounds to be softer and mellower, that's why you like them better at that time.
