I am just a BEGINNER and I purchased this instrument for a few reasons-for one thing it is WAY beyond my capability (as I already knew), and the other it serves as platform of something of awe inspiration that will attempt to get me motivated (angrily enough) to once and for all in my late adult life to approach learning music seriously in theory and in play. Apart from that I welcome everyone's comments as I am your newest member who just joined Pianoworld today. Nice to be here.

Welcome Bruce!

I'm not overly familiar with the S90 boards, so will allow someone more experienced to offer their suggestions.

Best of luck!

James

Ok ... Turn it on and you will see a performance called " lay it down" try playing a few chords. What you have is basically a full motif xs with a extra piano and another 1200 arpeggios its a very good board often overlooked here but I've been using one as a controller for years with up to 16 parts multi and full daw control. The ability to almost instantly create 4 part performances with intelligent arps puts this board in quite a good position for you to explore.
