Loc: Always somewhere about the glo...
The speed of these is generally good (with no "record breaking" attempts). Many strengths can be found in all three as well as a little need for cosmetic repair and the odd polish here and there. The Mephisto is the most "prepared". All will be completed to a refinement equating to concert standard within two months. The kind gentleman who offered the early advice [by PM], "You will never be able to play [the Mephisto]" will have his chance to eat his words. Will he have the humility to apologise remains to be seen?

Apologize for what exactly?
You've just proved to us you really can't play it. You haven't even memorized it, you haven't even put in the effort to learn it properly.
All of this just sounds like very bad sight reading.

Do you have a piece by which we might compare? Or can I make a request since it is sight-reading, after all?

I might have exaggerated slightly saying "all" after listening just to the waltz, maybe he might have practised a few things.

What's the point in defending him? Why the constant recording spam on the forum? There's a difference between someone who genuinely puts some effort, who regardless of their skill, put their own recordings up for honest appreciation/criticism or who ask for advice. And then there is this.

I can surely think of something up after my exams.
I might even try to get hold of my college's recording equipment which they lend out.

Gorgeous tone and obviously great recording equipment for the Rakoczy March. A beautiful Hamburg Steinway D perhaps? Couldn't stop listening to for just the sheer beauty of the sound!

Congrats -- not everyone is onto you yet.

(This stuff is a total put-on.)

Actually, please do. I think I would enjoy that just to hear you play--and having nothing to do with this thread. smile

As to the thread, I just thought the comment was a little harsh, even if the whole thing is a joke (as Mark has repeatedly told me). wink
