Thanks for the recommendations! I saw some sheet music for Indaco that CarlosCC posted up farther. It looks within my range so far, so I might give it a look and then check out some books to order.

"Corale" is probably even easier, but I'm not crazy about it as a solo... it kinda just meanders.
I'm currently working up three pieces from the book (Two Trees, Underwood, and Burning) and resisting the impulse to spread myself too thin by starting on Life and Discovery at Night). I'm so absorbed with the pieces from the new album that, frankly, I do not know where to start... I never felt so indecisive about choosing a piece! I think I'll just decide after the concert in Lisbon on 22 March... Until then, I'll try the "Nuvole Bianche" from the "Islands" book.

Yes, "Indaco" it's a good and challenging piece because it has different rithms and chords along the entire piece. It's not too hard if you get the "spirit" of it.

Nuvole Bianche is a beautiful piece. I just finished learning it 3 weeks ago. I'll have the same problem as you. Every piece sounds amazing and gives me the desire to learn it, I don't know with which I'll start.

Had a little try of recording a section of 'Time Lapse' this evening. (The first time in about 3yrs I've hit the red dot). I was using Galaxy Pianos II software, and made use of plenty of reverb and pad effect, trying to capture the echo-y atmosphere Ludovico gets in the recording. The playing itself needs a bit of work, tho! And the intro is obviously a bit different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfdS7d__vew

I think you are capturing very well the athmosphere needed for this piece. Good work. Congratulations!

It's still work-in-progress at the moment, but I thought I would put it in here, rather than the Piano Bar. I looked at getting tickets for the Einaudi concert next month, but it is on the same night that I've already planned something else So I will need to wait until the next album!

"Something else"?... Like what? Are you going to get your lottery prize...? Yes, Time Lapse is a great piece to play. Not too difficult, and has a good sound to it. I also recommend Sarabande, one of the bonus tracks. It's another fairly easy piece, but has a great feel to it. I really want to record that one! 'Something Else' - I signed up to an evening class at a local university, and the first class is the night as the concert. I've already paid for the class, so I better go to that instead

I also recommend Sarabande, one of the bonus tracks. I purchased a physical CD. Don't usually do that these days, but there are no bonus tracks or Sarabande on it. Puzzled!?

Fantastic Euan , thanks for sharing. I don't have any apple products so downloaded album from Amazon, using my mother's day gift voucher. No bonus tracks I like Sarabande though ( watched Daniel Hope and Einaudi Yellow House in Stockholm youtube vid). I agree Einaudi's concert were not well planned this year, playing in Scotland the week after the two week holiday, and the Edinburgh concert is on a school night. (My significant otter is a teacher). We are still going though, lol. Hope traffic from Glasgow to Edinburgh is not bad and won't have time for a meal before concert.

'Something Else' - I signed up to an evening class at a local university, and the first class is the night as the concert. I've already paid for the class, so I better go to that instead Maybe college classes are different in your neck of the woods, Euan, but here in the States, 90% of college classes devote the first day to: Handing out the syllabus. Maybe doing introductions and a few general remarks. But then leaving. In fact, one of the reasons I got my curmudgeonly reputation is that I was one of the few professors who actually lectured the first day of class. In short, and I'm saying this as a former professor who hated it when people didn't show up for class: Go to the concert. You will not be missing much, if anything. If you do decide to skip class that day, just email the instructor in advance, explain you have a prior commitment and will be missing the first day of class, but you are determined to make up any missed material. Then ask him or her to ship you the syllabus and any assignments for the next day so you can be prepared.

I just watched that performance - wow, absolutely stunning! Good luck with the journey! Hopefully a Tuesday night will be fairly quiet. I had the opposite trip a few months ago, trying to get from Edinburgh to Glasgow for a concert. Thanks to a nice traffic jam at Edinburgh airport, and my cousin being late also, we had to actually run through the Merchant City to the concert hall (the one on Candleriggs), and made it by 5mins

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xYp6lI2l58This was just the first two pages of the piece. I messed up a couple of notes, got them totally wrong. And used too much reverb also. I look forward to working on this more - maybe add some violin. And maybe cello, too!

Loved the way you captured that haunting emotion in the piece Euan.
I was lucky to get tickets for the Usher Hall, the server was overwhelmed for about three days after the concert was announced and then I struggled to get two seats together.
Now a Daniel Hope and Einaudi concert in Scotland or the Midlands would be just awesome !

Just like Carlos, I've bought a ticket to March 22nd Concert, in Lisbon. Thank God is in Easter Break But, besides that, it is on a Friday, so even if it was school time, I would go as well. I'm so anxious. 1 week to go

Hi, this is my first post, I follow this forum, and this specific “Subject”, a long time, and I learn a lot from all of you (thanks!!), now is the time to contribute with something. Start with the full audio of the Einaudi’s Rome concert live streaming. The tracks are separated and named. Mp3 link: http://dfiles.eu/files/1fgxzw9xxThe sound is the best I can with a: concert-> live streaming->pc rec-> convert. Enjoy. To CarlosCC, one more Portuguese playing einaudi and I with my girlfriend are “educated” and go to 22 march concert. Pedro
