You need to be more specific in your question. Are you having a problem playing grace notes for some reason?

One school has the grace note on the downbeat and the main note happening after, another has the grace note striking before the beat with the main note on the beat.

? Gracenotes are read the same regardless of the instrument. Are you having problems technical or hardware wise?

Unless its a keyboard i doubt its a tech issue even my sub 100quid casio could play them same with my cdp

I understood a grace note was meant to be played by just "grazing" the keys.

Nope, just quick notes before the main one. You play them in exactly the same way on an acoustic as on a digital.
