Hi i'm making a video for my latest piece of piano music..i really need some help in removing a watermark address from parts of the video is there anyone who knows how to do this and would be willing to help.

If the watermark is there because the software is an evaluation copy then the solution is simple - just buy the full version.

No.. the software i'm using is movie maker in windows 8..it's not the software its a small video clip i got off the internet that has a web address in the lower left hand corner...its really annoying..i've got a program called virtualdub that's supposed to be able remove watermarks like that from video clips but for some reason it wont work on my system...guess i'll just have to live with it.

Where are you located? Pretty much any post house that does TV shows or commercials will have some kind of dirt fix system such as the MTI box. There are plenty in LA and NY, some in Chicago. They automatically take the good BG from adjacent frames to fill in the stuff you don't want. I've done that for foreigns when the original Associate Producer missed saving some of the textless. Depending how long your piece is and what motion issues there are, it could run a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars.

Do you have the rights to do this? You cannot just use anyone's video off the internet without permission.

Hi I live in the uk, I don't think there would be anything like that here, Its just a small video i'm making for my own personal use anyway it's not something i'd spend hundreds of pounds on..i'm not going to be making money on it or anything like that..i'd of prefered not to have the web address on it thats all...as i said i can live with it..its not that big of a deal.

I doubt very much it's copyrighted it's not something you could copyright.. if I thought it was i wouldn't be using it..it's only about 15 seconds long anyway.

Any original work that an individual does, whether in writing, music or the arts, is copyrighted by default. At least that is my understanding of copyright law here in the US. Going after someone for copyright infringement is probably rare, though; unless the stakes are really high.

Try elance.com at this URL (though you will have to register to get to that page) https://www.elance.com/r/contractors/q-video/. Elance is a self-regulating community of service providers and people who contract them for services. It's pretty easy to post a job, review bids and have some work done. I saw contractors willing to work for as little as $10/hour with video editing experience. I've engaged people through elance several times, and I've been satisfied with the results.
