Just bought a piano

So excited I just purchased a Kawai K2 a 45" piano. I'm feeling a little regret that I didn't purchase the K3 a 48" piano but I just can't afford it. I'm just beginning to play piano so the only thing I can hear is the slight deeper tone in the K3. I hope to be happy with the K2 I really do like it just really can't stretch my budget for the K3. I should receive the piano within the next 2 weeks

I also figure I can use the money saved towards lessons. I hope the K2 doesn't prevent me from learning as much opposed to owning a K3

Congratulations! The next two weeks will be like waiting for Christmas. The wait will be worth it!

Still having thoughts. If I can figure something out I will try to get the K3 if I can raise the money by tomorrow lol. This might put me in a bad financial position.

My first piano was a K-2. My lessons are on a range of Kawai K pianos, from K-15 to K-5. Oh, and an RX-2 on occassion.
As far as the action goes, my K-2 was better than the K-15 and as good as the other Ks.
The significant change is not between the K-2 and K-3, but between the K-3 and K-5.
I wanted a grand, so my K-2 went away. It was a nice piano, I'd not hesitate to buy another. I think you'll be pleased with it and enjoy it very much.
Good luck.

Congratulations!!
I have an older Kawai upright, and it has a really sweet sound.
All the best!

A K2 is better than anything I had before age 26 - and I started at age 7. And then went to the equivalent of a K8 - for 30 years till I moved to a grand.
Enjoy the K2, it can take you to diploma level and beyond - life might give you an opportunity to upgrade in the future.

Thanks everyone. Will see what happens. I just want to make sure I make a decision I don't regret.

I just want to make sure I make a decision I don't regret. I always encourage people to buy the best piano they can afford. From what you've said, it sounds like you are doing just that.

Congratulations on your new piano. I'm sure you'll be extremely happy. We always want the piano that's just past our budget, but the Kawaii K2 will sound and feel great when it's in your home and settled in.
Congrats again. Do post pictures when it's delivered.....and of the delivery itself if you remember.
