Hello, I dont know if I provided those links yet but the "Cite de la Musique Museum" have scanned some large archives from Pleyel, Erard and Gaveau , some are yet processed.

With a serial number you cna find the original finsh, the model, the construction date and the first buyer name and location.

Very interesting for French instrumenst owners (pianos ,harps, hapsichords, someschwander actions numbers too)

Unfortunately the original plans, sketches and brevets are only visible at the museum.

http://archivesmusee.citedelamusique.fr/presentation4.html

We also can see how long does it take to build an instrument

Just browsed a bit but could not found any building plans. Under 'plans' most things seem not yet scanned in...

I only found this which seems more like a plan to order parts or something?

No you only can see the plans in the museum (possibly with an authorization ?)

What you send there is the catalog of all plans from Pleyel (pianos, harps, harpsichords)

But for the owners of a Pleyel, a Gaveau, or Erard instrument, knowing a little more information on the building date, original location and owner (many shop owners probably, but you can find Chopin too) is appreciated.
My brother's withe have an Erard Harp, and find it, it was nice for her to know the making date, for instance.

You can notice some pianos are French polished, others not, etc...

I am very curious about the plans of course, I will try to know how to look at them.

Just working on my small Pleyel mod F 1930 I know I baught it from the same family than have it since 1931.

And I noticed the strike line is at 1/9 and sensitive at the half mm level even in the mediums... but that is another story
