Hello all. I am new to this forum. When I was younger, I used to take piano lessons, but I quickly lost interest and gave away my keyboard. I regret throwing it away because now, I have grown interest in playing the piano. What is the best beginner/intermediate piano available in the market (preferably on Amazon)? I am looking for a reasonably priced keyboard that has some longevity and is not just for those who wish to test the waters.

Currently, I am comparing these models:

i would not suggest anything below yamaha p95 (preferrably p105).

the product you mentioned arent "weighted" keys
to me its the foundamental feature you want get on a digital keyboard

look for preowned market is my other suggestion if $200 is your budget.

You should ask this over on the Digital forum.

On this budget you will need to go second-hand (used), and look for a weighted hammer key action if it want to learn piano and not keyboard (synth).

New and close to your budget would be Casio CDP120, Yamaha P35, but at this price level it's not the best experience.

These are all bad choices if your desire is to learn piano. Besides the Yamaha P series, consider a second hand PX-130 by Casio. I've seen lightly used ones for as little as $225 with the stand. It's a weighted but not particularly "heavy" action and has a reasonable amount of touch sensitivity to reward your increasing skills.

Anything less than a Yamaha P85/P95 is basically a waste of your practice time. Perhaps you could find a used Yamaha P85 somewhere for close to your budget. Forget the 76-key stuff. The 61-key stuff are toys.

For Yamaha anything less than the P155 is not worth it. For Casio, don't go less than the PX-x50 series.

I agree that for your budget I'd suggest buying a used Casio, Yamaha, Roland or any full-88 weighted key digital that you can find in that price range. A new Casio PX is about $600.

They do come up on Craigslist once in a while in that price range...
