Hi folks. Just thought I'd share a few sounds from Sampletekk's "Black" Kontakt piano in case anyone is considering purchasing it. I must warn you, I'm just starting out and can barely play at all. I just like making up simple melodies occasionally and love the sound of a grand piano. It's therapeutic and calming ;-)

I got this for $50 on sale. At first I didn't like it much, but it has really grown on me. I love that the sampled piano is not perfect and has some character. No EQ has been used, it could sound better with a bit of top end dialed in and a few lower mids pulled back perhaps.

So, I made these very short snippets, which are not so much musical but rather a way to hear some of the sounds of the piano. They are triggered at mid velocity as I only have an old Casio to use as a controller until a back injury heals and I can lift a new hammer action board into the house. The last tone is 2 notes triggered at full velocity to demonstrate the decay.

Maybe this is useful or interesting to someone! Cheers.
