Sometimes Mark, depending what other add ons you have etc, sometimes certain add ons do conflict and if so, you just go the firefox add on menu and disable or remove.

that said I am running latest firefox on windows 7 and have no probs so far with this firefox add on. Just downloaded it an installed in less than a min.

Fortunately I don't have any other add-ons so it won't conflict. Or at least I think I don't. I don't even really know what an add-on is.

I also wondered about it taking up "space" on the computer, or slowing the computer down, and/or possibly involving viruses.

Any download should be scanned for viruses ( ahem) automatically if your system is set up correct.

An add on is a component to what is already there, so if you are running firefox ( in this instance) it is a new part of firefox.

Like a seat cover in your car, ( made though by the car manufacturer in this case) the car and seat was already there, and the seat cover is an add on that should fit and work correctly.

It's doing it's job for me so far so good- I don't even have Microsoft.

Firefox is good!
