I like the demo I hear on youtube, but has anyone played one yet? Yes, NH is a mild concern but poor speakers are as just as worry for me.

I'm waiting for a proper review on this as well. Major concern is the so called inability to play soft delicate notes according to azpianonews.com guy.

I purchased it before trying it and am really enjoying it.
Piano 1 is "normal", Piano 2 is classical, more mellow
Piano 3 is a jazz - brighter piano and Piano 4 is live.

I don't play as delicately as others so while the concerns about soft passages may be a valid point by Tim, he is overly prejudiced towards Casios. I don't disagree with him but find the Korg sound more natural.

Only minor concerns I have are the E above middle C and the B above middle C are a little louder than the other keys (the keys themselves, not the sound coming from the keys), but the mechanisim seems fine.

I think there is some glue from the assembly perhaps in between the keys-weather has changed.

Not to rationalize, but it is still quieter than my P95 and PX130.

The guy from azpianonews did say that the keys are very quiet. For him to say that it must be true. I agree that he seems overly biased towards casio.

No doubt casio is a decent piano but still.


I tend to play very delicate pieces at times. I think I might take the plunge and go for the sp280. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Much more than equivalent yamaha or casio.

I love the fact that the korg has everything you would want. Good speakers. Good polyphony. Fairly light action. All the connections in the world.

It sounds like the perfect fit for me despite the fact that I won't be able to try it out beforehand,

I must admit all the research into digital pianos can be exhausting. Lost count of how many times I've changed my mind.

But the korg does seem to be a very good instrument. I don't think I would be disappointed with it.

They are like the undertaker in the digital piano world. Think I will give them a chance.
