I bought an antique upright piano which as far as I know, is a Purcell Chicago. If there is ANY information on these pianos, please let me know. I am unable to find anything at all. Thanks!

Welcome to Piano World! The Pierce Piano Atlas lists Shelby I. Purcell, born in Sedalia, MO in 1869. He was a partner of W. W. Kimball, then had his own store in Chicago. He sold pianos under his own name, which were made by H.C. Bay.

If you lift the lid of the piano and look near the tuning pins, you might see a 4- or 5-digit number stamped or imprinted there. The Atlas does list some serial numbers, so if you post that number here, I, or someone, will be able to tell you when it was made.

Thank you so much for the information! I will post that number tonight. I have seen it, but cannot remember it off the top of my head.

The serial number inside the piano is "75635". Thanks to all who can help!

That puts the piano as being made in approximately 1924.

Is there a good tool I could use to estimate the value of this piano?

Most older upright pianos have very little value, if any at all. My advice is to hire a piano technician to tune and evaluate the piano for you.

The value of your piano is going to depend on the quality of the original piano, the condition it's in now, whether it's had any restoration work done, and the brand and model. Only an expert can really determine this for you.

Arguably the most valuable old upright would be a famous brand and model, like the Steinway K-52 upright, that has been well cared for, and has been restored to excellent condition. Even with a K-52, it is dubious whether you will ever be able to sell it for more than it cost to restore. For most old uprights, restoration costs far exceed the value of the restored product, and an unrestored instrument is worth between $0 to $1000 depending on condition and brand/model.
