I was looking for some Youtube videos that had good recordings of Roland's Supernatural piano, and I felt I should share this one.

First of all it sounds great and the pianist is great...

What impresses me the most is her ability to remain focused despite the antics of her friend at the beginning. laugh

Any other pet owners have to deal with this? lol

Every piano player`s nightmare. Ya finsh yer stint in this restaurant. And SHE turns up and plays like that . . . . enough to drive a fella to drink . . .

Do the legs come with the piano? Darn nice sound! I want one . . . thanks for that.

To those who did: please don´t molest by your unqualified comments on the person. I feel ashamed of you, especially that she is still a child.

To those of you who have entered this thread in order to hear the sound of a HP-505: as she really catched it nicely, playing so nicely some modern tune, here is also a more classical one of her.

Marco, no one here knew that. Her playing tells us otherwise. . . good grief, how good will she be when she grows up?

The performer's age and gender are largely irrelevant, surely?

It's the piano sound and playing ability that are important.

Cheers,
James

Yup....goofy cats. smile

Had a hunting dog who just knew that no matter what I did. It was her job to help. Would make concrete work or painting, tough. She always earnestly tried.

Look for "vkgoeswild" on YouTube. She plays an RD700nx pretty much exclusively.

Yes, that was the intent for posting this.

I figured you have to be pretty good to play a piece like that and not get distracted or lose focus when your cat keeps jumping on and off your keyboard.

I know if my cat did that while I was recording a performance I'd be so frustrated with her, lol.

She does get carried away. Excelent, but I`m not sold on that twangy sound. Yet.

what a great picture. thanks for sharing. Your kitty must not like low frequencies.

reminds me of my 15 yr old english cocker (nearly blind, almost deaf, and rarely barks- i probably should rename him "Tommy") lying at my feet whenever i play and usually passing copious amounts of gas. very humbling.

What she plays here is music from a video game series called Final Fantasy, in case anyone wondered.

Thanks Gigantoad - yes it is a very curious piece and I did kind of wonder what it was. It's jazzy yet obviously carefully composed. Difficult to imagine as a concert piece or a jazz trio theme, so the video game explanation solves the mystery! Also sounds as if the composer has been listening to Stravinsky's Les Noces.

Final Fantasy has some of the most brilliant music in video game history. Certainly worth listening to even outside of playing the games. The first piece here, I believe, is the battle theme of Final Fantasy 7. So whenever you were in battle, you would hear this. Much faster and more frentic though. Second piece is called "Return to Zanarakand" from Final Fantasy 10 where it was the main theme I think.

Here's some more I like:
