Just bought a casio privia px 750 today, assembled it, took the tape off and have realised all the keys are at different heights and aren't even. There is even a clicking noise for some keys. Is it worth getting another or should I get a different brand instead? Thanks smile

I'd take it back and get another but I'd have the store inspect it first before taking it home.

That's normal with Casio pianos I think. My 330 had uneven keys and my new 150 does too. It doesnt affect your playing though, unless your keys are a couple of millimeters uneven.

I had it on my PX350 and returned it- had it twice. Was told it was a problem with previous models. Not acceptable to me to spend hundreds of dollars on a product. Poor design. No excuse. End of discussion.

However, my PX130 is PERFECT and I enjoy playing it a lot.

You will feel better if you return it. If it happens again, find a brand that places importance on evenly spaced and heighted keys, such as Yamaha.

Mine, too.

As MM says, it's a service or return issue.

There's a similar post about a Kawai on this forum. QC isn't perfect for any maker.

The Yamaha p155 made in Japan looks perfect. Dont know where they make Casio and Kawai's low end model, the QC is.quie poor, I have replace px 350 twice for a different issue.and eventually returned.

Regarding equal spacing between keys, the PX350 is just as good as my Yamaha MOX........and not even a tiny blip on the radar. Perfection costs a lot more than the combined MSRP of these two keyboards. If you want a perfect model see if you can get your hands on the one used at a show. But I don't think even the show models of keyboards are built to scrutinizing perfection like guitars or cars. It is common for a show guitar to have well above average wood grain and car to have a flawless finish, for instance.

Correct. Many of the models at NAMM are prototypes and not the final versions of the product.
