I'm an accomp and some music I've been handed ends with
Eb G A C, then ends with a G Major chord. I think it's too abrupt a change. What can I work in between?
Hope this is enough info.

Am7b5 to G works fine, it just depends on how you're voicing it. If you must have a chord between, then D7 would be the natural choice to fill in the ii-V-I progression.

We can't really answer out of context. But Cm6 - G or Am7b5 - G is hardly way-out! You have G in both chords, Eb resolves nicely to D, C to B, A to G. I recommend you expand your harmonic vocabulary and learn to love it.
