A newbie question: I am talking about the song starting at the 3 min mark, at the 7 minute mark, and the song starting at the 10:30 mark. What style are these 3 songs?

Silent Hill (as I'm sure you know) is a video game series and most pieces of music (music must have words to be songs) from such games would be considered "new age." Verdegrand is a great player of such music smile .

I didn't watch the video, (especially because of the "violent and disturbing images" warning) but I did check out the places you mentioned. IMO it sounds like George Winston's style: pleasant, chords. I can't think of a name for the genre but it's not classical.

Edit: Thanks, Bobpickle. New age, of course.

Best regards,

Without even listening to this, I can describe it ... lots of diatonic harmonies with lots of repetition. Close? smile

Can anyone make out the name of the piano that is being used to play the song starting at 10:30?

Yup - I would go with New Age as well.
Good for relaxing in the tub or getting
a massage.
