Since my typing skills are so poor I regularly get many words in a post highlighted in red by spell check. But sometimes my spelling of musical terms is actually correct but the limitations of spell check lead to some amusing suggested corrections. A few recent ones I've seen and a few I just tested:

Sarabande should be corrected to Sandbar
Arpeggiation should be Peregrination
Allemande should be Mandela
Gigue should be Miguel
Courante should be raconteur
Giocoso should be Georgio
Allegrissimo should be generalissimo
Prestissimo sb impressionist
con moto sb con moo or con motor
chaconne sb chaperone
pollini sb polling or poplin
kissin sb (you can guess that one)
uchida sb cherida
bolet sb colet or bolt
lipatti sb patti
bachauer sb chaucer
saint saens sb saint mensa
Kaplinsky sb kandinsky
medtner sb meddler
fiorentino sb florentine
gottschalk sb scottsdale
penarrio sb scenario
Scarbo sb Scarborough
dohnanyi sb dominant
totentanz sb potentate
ondine sb online or iodine

Do you have any amusing suggestions that you've seen?

My wordperfect program doesn't recognize "berceuse," and suggests BERKOWITZ. smile

Only if it works right. grin

When my stuff got re-installed into a new computer, you couldn't do that any more. So, it keeps wanting berkowitz instead of berceuse. ha

But even when you can, the thing is, you keep getting fun stuff like this when you give it something new.

Thinking of the Chaperone in D minor certainly gave me a smile! Thanks for the list.

Firefox tells me Kreisler should be Kessler
Kissin -> Kissing of course (oops, already mentioned)
Yuja -> Yuga
Courante -> Colourant, Courtesan, Counteract
Grazioso -> Grazing's
Tessitura -> Necessitate

It is almost disappointing when I try a term and no correction is suggested!

Stretto -> Street
Tritone -> Baritone (at least it is still a musical term)
Scordatura -> Coloratura
