Hi there, wondering if anybody has used a "shark" tuning hammer ? Realise there is another variety out there. Want to acquire a lighter hammer due to shoulder problems. Would appreciate any opinions. Thanks from Tasmania

Everyone I know who has a lightweight tuning lever either has a Fujan, Faulk, or Levitan. I have a Levitan, which is the cheapest lightweight one available, but it is only sold through Pianotek Supply. If you have shoulder problems, you should look at either the Fujan or Faulk because they both have a nice ball on the end for easy, comfortable gripping.

Don't know about the Shark. I use a Faulk and like it a lot. But then I rarely tune any longer. One of the advantages of working with Charles is his ability and willingness to work with you to come up with just what you need. If you have an idea of what might help you alleviate your shoulder problems contact him and see what you can work out. ddf

Scott has it right, but the difference is more than just a tad. The small threaded rod attaching the "traditional" type head is a major flex point. That lever will not give the precision the Fujan will. I have a very strong opinion on the subject!! Best of luck.

Hi All, thanks very much for the excellent responses. I am now looking at the Fujan hammer with a view to getting 2 heads. One for grand, probably 15deg, (left handed tuner) and one for uprights. The design is fascinating and reviews are very good. Many thanks, Rod

I use a Fujan as well and simply love it.
