I looking for exercises to practice triplets through II-V-1's, using proper voice leading.

Why I'm asking what about 16th notes too?

I'd suggest getting the Omnibook, which has transcribed Charlie Parker solos. A lot of the tunes are blues, but there are also plenty with II-V-Is and rhythm changes.

I'm not a beginner and have omni book. You don't really find soloists using only triplets thought ii/v/i's, so examples wouldn't be what I'm searching for.

You can take Bert Ligon basic premise on a II-V-I: F-E-D-C/B-A-G-F/E-D-C. Now I want to practice these kind of basic lines but using triplets. I'm assuming I'll need some chromatic notes so it will work out as to strong/weak beat.

Anyone?

Why not start by playing the same lines but just turn the 1/8s into triplet 1/8s. You can adjust the placement of the starting note to get the target tones right if you like but maybe it is better just to get used to playing the triplets without worrying about that to start with. Or try some scales and arpeggios, scale patterns and chord tones. Start slow and try writing your own lines.

My thinking is that I'll have to add chromatic notes to make the lines work out and this will help me have some more facility under my fingers when I venture off to multiple triplets.

I'm at work and not near piano but here's some non musical examples.

here's one with out chromatics:

f-e-d/a-b-c/b-a-g/d-e-f//e-d-c

here's one with chromatics:

f-e-eb/d-db-c/b-bb-a/ab-g-f/e-d-c

Beeboss advice is a good idea.

Also you can take conventional phrases and add some chromatic/diatonic approaches (delayed resolution) before the target note.
