March used to be a great month for me.. Meant spring was coming. Up here in Alaska though, probably not for a few more months frown

Here's my contribution. I arranged two hymns (Be thou my vision and Fairest Lord Jesus) and put it into a medley. I used a fake book for both hymns. I made up a video of pictures too from winter up here in AK. Hope you enjoy!

Very nice music and video. I was surprised by the Alaskan posting. Grew up in the Yukon from 1955 - 1969. Thanks for sharing.

You live in a nixce place, LP . . . I love those runs you do, it punctuates and lubricates at the same time giving a good atmosphere. And - temperatures in Summer?

Weiyan - I was wondering, as you so often play without sheet music, do you learn without it too (ie. play by ear?)

Guitar since 1966. Piano (Kawai DP80) since 2011.

Weiyan - 1960`S . . . Used to play this in the band wi other dance stuff. I see you have no front on your piano, and are unincumbered with reams of music! A good memory is essential. . . . an enjoyable flashback which reminds me of how young I`m not . . . !

Keep `em rollin, man!

Good playing, Weiyan! Keep practicing getting those unisons to sound calm and consistent.

Here is a take on an Einaudi piece with a few errors, then my own improvisation towards the end. There are a few places where I lost track...

Weiyan...thank you, that was nice. Admire your piano.

Ladypane... That was really good. At times, I started forgetting I was supposed to be listening to the music. It blended well. I would have expected some darker pictures for winter from up there?

inlanding - Mood music. Love the way there`s a constant framework of notes offset against a varying (lower) register. Has modern feel. This sort o` music will swallow me up some day. . . .soon!

Here y`are guys! First time wi the overhead camera. If I have it any closer, funny noises come out o` the piano . . The film is of a later attempt at this piece since the one you`re listening to; I forgot to switch on the video . . .see if you can spot the discrepancies.

ladypayne that was a nice sound track for your video...good job at panning those pictures...what software do you use?

Weiyan...I like the sound of this piece especially on your piano. When you clean it up it will be sweet!

Inlanding, you really have the Einaudi mood with this piece. I assume it with your grand. Sounds really good.

peterws...wow...well done and smooth...liked the overhead shot...what did you use?

Glen: Very nice moody piece. The ending is soulful. There are a few notes, F3, G3, I can't make them sound like others. The piano need to soften the voice too.

Peterws: Jesus Joy of Man's Desire is well played. Its not easy to play. For there seems many repetitions and easy to lost in music.

Ladypayne - your arrangement was beautiful, and you played it very well. The music fit the mood of the video. I cannot imagine driving over a lake.

Weiyan - Good job on an old classic.

Glen- Nice Einaudi rendition, and you improv was seamless.

Peterws - I really like Bach, and I enjoyed your version of Jesu Joy. I love the camera angle. I have been trying to figure out how to do an overhead shot. Yours was perfect.

Here is a little blues piece I have been playing around with called Missouri River Ballade.

It is from the Alfred's Premier Performance Grade 5 book. It has a lot of fun pieces!
