This mini-master class is a 20-min excerpt from the longer "The Piano Music of Charles Ives" YT class. Topics include the use of dissonant intervals, stacked intervals, bi-tonality, 12-tone splits, common tones and constant structure.

*Serious* fun for serious musicians)

Blessings and keep swingin!

Dave,

Some self promoting is fine. Too much probably is too much! wink

But in other words since all you're doing is to share videos (and there's nothing for sale anywhere as far as I can tell) then I think you're fine... :-/

Then again I don't run this place.

and I'm subscribed to your youtube channel bud! wink

Be careful, people can be pretty clever about product placements these days..that Charles Ives poster looks rather conspicuous smile

Dave's videos are so valuable and generous that even if he were selling penis enlargement pills, I'd say he should be able to promote them all over the place.

He's not narcissistic, he's just a share-aholic, like many of us here -- and that's a good thing.

I just wish I had more time to devote to his videos.

P.S. His pills really work! wink

I've reported you to the moderator. You can criticize Dave for what he is doing, but name-calling and insulting people like this is totally uncalled for.

Understand that 99% of people here don't share your opinion
about this issue. There is nothing Dave is doing that is against the rules(if it is, by all means report him). If you have problem, go somewhere else. I think I speak for most people here when I say your kind of attitude isn't welcome here.

On a side note, considering how often Dave posts here, is it possible to get a sub-forum going for his videos? I figured that way his videos will all organized in 1 place without having them lost in all the other posts, and it may address some of the concerns others have raised. I think Dave has posted some of the most comprehensive, educational videos on this forum, and it would be nice to see them all accessible under one subforum smile

Grow up, try to talk like an adult if you want to be taken seriously. You criticize Dave for not following proper etiquette in these forums and at the same time you start making insults to everyone who you don't agree with.
