Hello Everyone,

The no. 4 was with some impromptu recording this past December - and with a Schimmel upright - to test Zoom H2 recorder settings for use in recitals later this year. Definitely the playing in that one could be much improved.

For Op. 28 No. 6 I only have access here to the excerpt.

Maybe some of you will think, perhaps with improvements needed, that over all this rules-free approach to the Chopin preludes is acceptable.

Op. 28 No. 1

Op. 28 No. 4

Op. 28 No. 6 (excerpt)

Op. 28 No. 20

Mvh,
Michael

Michael - I'll pass on commenting about the rules-free approach BUT I'm curious, what were you doing at Coe College in 2002??? smile

Greetings,

I am friends with an Ervin Nyiregyhazi admirer on the staff and made two trips there in 2002 to record.

Mvh,
Michael

p.s. - I like your recording of Clair de Lune (interestingly it is similar to my interpretation in some respects of tempo and delivery). When I play it I remember nights from my youth walking the trails in full moon at the Dallas Nature Center with the delicious, cool and dry night time Texas summer breeze . . .

Michael - Glad you liked the Claire de Lune. I lived very close to the Dallas Nature Center about 20 years ago - and enjoyed some wonderful walks there with my family. Hiking at night must have been an adventure !! smile I asked about Coe because a good friend of mine recently retired after teaching Sociology there for 30 years.
