I just recently found this song (Sally Gardens) while looking for Irish songs to play for a St Patricks Day party. I haven't gotten too far with it yet but really like this melody.

I've fallen way behind on this month's piano bar. I've been off fighting with the read dot, or rather my lack of readiness for the red dot. For a change this is not a Scottish fiddle tune. There are still some problems with my playing, but don't want to wait until April or May's piano bar.

Codi- nice playing, like the piece. Just need to clean up the recording placement, sounded a little distant.

Stumbler Relaxed start but gets lively at the end. Jazz isn`t my forte but I wish I could do it better. sounded great, man. But a dusky husky singer would be the icing on the cake . .

Pianotehead: Good. Yesterday(also yesterday once more) is my favor song. Should you try using sustain paddle during chord shift?
Amaruk: Well played. Try Concerning Hobbits next time. The song is "Love is Blue". Its a very old song. I played it very slow so the chordal notes become melody.

Inlanding - Love it, man! Long sustain, modern chords (wi unusual root notes) give it a dreamy thoughtful atmosphere. Now what does it make me think of? Not saying on the grounds that it may incriminate me. M`lud . . .

stumbler - very good job on the Gershwin - love how you bend the notes in the bluesy sections. This is well done. Nice big finish!

Inlanding - This has too much soul to be relegated to background music. As always, I find your composition captivating in its musicality. It is sort of relaxing but in a thoughtful and contemplative way.

Here is a little jazz piece called 12 o'clock jump that I have been playing around with. It is a kick to play. Quite a change from my usual classical, and a lot of fun. I am still very new at this jazz thing. This was recorded on my Avant Grand. I still haven't figured out the optimal placement of the new ZoomQ3HD to record my new Bechstein. Maybe next time.

Weiyan - this is a very pretty piece. Your phrasing is very good - you might consider a little lighter touch to let this lovely melody "breath" a little bit. Your playing gets better every month - you are obviously working at your music and it is paying off.

I like that idea, synching a train journey to music! Are all the sounds from the keyboard?
And this reminded me of a query of mine-how does one synch music to a video?

lLarryshone tHanks. The instrumnents are all from the little digital I play. Use Videopad to combine a music track with a video. You can line `em uo, seperate, all for free . . It`s fun. I did this for some contemporary dance scenes, notorious for the crappy music they use, It comes out real good without undue effort on my part . . .

Thanks for the info. I have a few old mp3s I made on my keyboard and a synth but I wanted to make it into a video but I lack the software. I tried the stuff that came with windows but got nowhere!
