Looks great, I love the polished ebony color, that is the only color to choose when buying a piano.

Thanks! Congrats! Yes, the large images do take some time to load. Thanks. Yes, sorry I should have let imageshack resize but that happens when you are too hyper Looks great, I love the polished ebony color, that is the only color to choose when buying a piano. I have to agree, I love that for sure although I had speakers that were polished Rosewood and were gorgeous too.

It's beautiful! Congratulations!!
Is that a humidifier next to it? Is it OK to put it that close to the piano?

Thanks! Yes it is a humidifier. It is not a misty or warm humidifier so I am hoping it is fine there. Maybe someone will comment on it. Thanks for mentioning it.

If it's dry, then it's perfectly fine to have it there.

Nah, I wouldn't get a cover. Just keep it closed when you are not playing. Dusting the top of a piano is no more diffucult than dusting your other furniture. You are going through the "OMG, new baby, what do I do now?" phase. It's quite common here at PW!

Oh thank you! Do you guys recommend getting a cover for it? I dont have pets or anything but for dust. Or maybe just a bedspread? A cover is nice to have, but not necessary.

Is like I am reading everything about cleaning and what to do and what not BTW I have this awesome duster I user for computer work and I think it will be very nice to clean the piano too. Electronic Duster A cover is nice to have, but not necessary. Sounds good then. Save some money

Oh My! You really are infected. That will be great around the tuning pins and other tight spots, but for the flat wood surfaces, it's hard to beat a Swiffer or a micro-fiber cloth.

"OMG, new baby, what do I do now?" phase. Is it true that if you feed and care for a Baby Grand it'll grow up to be a 9' concert in about 18 years? :-)

It is true! But when the piano reaches about 7', and in full blown adolescence, they can be a lot to handle.

Steven - that should be a new thread. This is a celebration, not a Q & A.
