Pianists are wanted for performing and recording several neo-romantic and contemporary compositions. Please check the website Music for piano to get complete information. Pavel

Welcome back Pavel,

First of all I'm quoting the information so that people won't need to click that link:

Below on this page there is an audio player with piano pieces which are offered for performance. The quality of the recordings is not too good, and that is why new recordings of these compositions are needed.
Please choose the piece which you would like to perform and write to me about it at musicforpiano@narod.ru and I will send you the score. Let me know how much money you would charge for your performance and recording of the piece. (Or, maybe, you would like to perform and record it free of charge?) If I agree with the amount then please play and record the piece and send it to me. If the technical performance, quality of the recording, and interpretation (style of playing) are satisfactory to me then I will send you the money via mail (check) or by any other means acceptable to you.
If you have never performed this kind of music before then I suggest that you base your interpretation on the audio recordings presented here. If you are an experienced pianist then it will be interesting for me to listen to your vision of these pieces.
In playing these compositions, the pianist’s task is to feel the logic of the internal tensions of each piece as it develops, expressing this logic through the richness of the sounds produced. The performer should listen to the emotional progressions carefully, giving the listener the opportunity to respond directly to the feelings and meditative ideas which are induced by the sounds.
Technically, most of the pieces in this collection should not be difficult to play by a pianist of average technical skills. There are very few hard chord sequences or virtuoso passages; however, there are some complicated rhythmical figures which demand some skill from the pianist.
So, listen, choose, and write to me at musicforpiano@narod.ru

Now, as we discussed it before, there's a bit of an issue here... The problem is that you're requesting from the pianists to work and IF you like the results you will pay. This is not how a freelancer works most of the times; I should know about this! wink

The idea is that you get to pick your artist from what you know about them, demoreels, biography, further information etc. After that you can't just tell them to 'go away' if you don't like the result. You need to be responsible on who you chose. You can ask for a few tweaks here and there, or a few things that need changing, but having them study, perform and record the work to get nothing is simply unacceptable!

What would also be nice is to provide glimpses, or previews of each score, so that people can also take a peek (not a serious look) of what they're getting themselves into.

Good luck.

Every day we are afforded a new chance. The problem with life is not that you run out of chances. In the end, what you run out of are days.

Maybe a coincidence, but the lead item on the BBC TV news today is that eating processed meat shortens your life, according to a landmark research study involving half a million Europeans over 13 years.

Don't say you haven't been warned...... wink
