Well after a long time dreaming about getting a Baby Grand, today it finally happened.
I still have my Hamilton Studio as you can see on the last picture.
I am going back to play immediately but I wanted to share this with you guys cause this is very exciting for me and you guys know the feeling better than anyone else. smile
So here are some pictures. I didn't edit them , sorry..not in the mood for photo editing...just piano loving laugh

And finally the proud owner...me! laugh

Small youtube video..sorry for the shaky video...I need to get a fast lens with stabilization..and youtube kills the IQ anyway. smirk

Thanks for looking! smile

Looks great, I love the polished ebony color, that is the only color to choose when buying a piano.

It's beautiful! Congratulations!!

Is that a humidifier next to it? Is it OK to put it that close to the piano?

Yes it is a humidifier. It is not a misty or warm humidifier so I am hoping it is fine there. Maybe someone will comment on it.
Thanks for mentioning it.

If it's dry, then it's perfectly fine to have it there.

Nah, I wouldn't get a cover. Just keep it closed when you are not playing. Dusting the top of a piano is no more diffucult than dusting your other furniture. You are going through the "OMG, new baby, what do I do now?" phase. It's quite common here at PW!

A cover is nice to have, but not necessary.

Is like I am reading everything about cleaning and what to do and what not smile
BTW I have this awesome duster I user for computer work and I think it will be very nice to clean the piano too.

Oh My! You really are infected. That will be great around the tuning pins and other tight spots, but for the flat wood surfaces, it's hard to beat a Swiffer or a micro-fiber cloth.

Is it true that if you feed and care for a Baby Grand it'll grow up to be a 9' concert in about 18 years? :-)

It is true! But when the piano reaches about 7', and in full blown adolescence, they can be a lot to handle.
